Dr. Popowitz, a Podiatrist and Foot and Ankle Surgeon, specializes in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. An alumnus of Yeshiva University in New York, Dr. Popowitz received his Bachelor of Science in Economics with Magna Cum Laude honors.
He then received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Dr. Popowitz completed a three-year comprehensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Montefiore Medical Center, University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Steven K. Neufeld, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with more than 22 years of experience and the founder of the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center (OFAC) in Falls Church, Virginia—the first comprehensive foot and ankle center in the Washington, DC, area. He specializes in total ankle replacement and minimally invasive foot, ankle, and bunion surgery, and was the first in the region to perform minimally invasive bunion corrections, publishing the only U.S.-based study on the procedure and chairing national and international courses on the technique. He completed his training at Hahnemann University, Ohio State University, and Union Memorial Hospital, and remains active in education and research as a fellowship director, university instructor, patent holder, and Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
